With over 30 years professional experience, Luciano Vassão started his career recording and mixing in 1986, working in several studios in Brazil. From 1995 onwards, he worked with major Brazilian popular music labels as a mastering engineer, especially focused on Brazilian gospel music. He took part in the process of digitizing the collection, restoring the audio of countless matrices, hence gaining massive experience in the analog to digital mastering process from an early age.
From there, the diversity of Brazilian music styles provided him a very vast experience, from samba to hip hop, from classical music to rock bands, from pop to jazz. Within national gospel music, he is one of the most requested names, having worked with all the greatest artists in this segment. His work has been awarded countless times, including 3 Latin Grammy wins, among many more nominations. One of the main characteristics of Luciano's work is his sensitivity in perceiving what the producer or artist has in mind and the best way to show it to the public. For this, working together with the mixing engineer is essential, so that the previous steps are respected and the mastering process only corrects directions, valuing all the good that has been done to that point.
Luciano masters for Stereo and Dolby ATMOS formats, and is an Apple Digital Masters Certified engineer.
