How To Land A Sync Deal

What you'll walk away with...

You will leave with a clear, actionable plan for getting your music in front of music supervisors and the professional framework to do it consistently. You will know exactly:

How to prepare and package a sync submission that gets taken seriously

Ruby walks you through the demos, metadata, and catalog essentials that every professional pitch needs, so supervisors can evaluate your music quickly and know exactly how to reach you.

How to find and approach music supervisors without wasting your time

You will learn how to research the right people to pitch to, what a pitch email that actually gets opened looks like, and how to start building relationships in an industry that runs almost entirely on trust.

The business basics that protect your music and your income

From publishing splits to PRO registration, you will understand the ownership and rights fundamentals that every songwriter submitting for sync needs to have in order before they send a single pitch.

Ruby Duff

Ruby Duff is a Yorkshire-born alt-pop artist known for her fearless, genre-bending sound that draws comparisons to Kate Bush, Lana Del Rey, and Björk. Since going independent, she has landed multiple sync placements, including on Love Island, earned BBC Radio 1 playlisting, performed at SXSW Austin and The Great Escape, and collaborated with established industry writers Rob Davis and Scott Verill. She has represented the Ivor Novellos at the IMPF and has navigated the sync world entirely without a major label behind her, which makes her exactly the right person to learn this from.

Got questions?

We got answers!

Is this really free?

+

Yes, completely. This workshop costs nothing to attend. Just save your seat and show up.

Where does the workshop take place?

+

Inside our private community The Musiverse, which is free to join. When you register for the workshop you'll be taken straight there.

Do I need to be a Musiversal member to attend?

+

Not at all. This workshop is open to every music creator, whether you're a Musiversal member or completely new to us. All are welcome.

What if I can't make it live?

+

No worries, a full replay will always be available so you can watch back whenever works for you. We highly recommend joining live though. You will be able to ask questions, get real-time answers from Ruby, and walk away with more than you would watching alone.

How long is the workshop?

+

This is a focused, 60 minute practical session so come ready to take notes and leave with something you can use immediately.

I've never pitched my music before. Is this for me?

+

Absolutely. Ruby covers the full pitching and packaging process from scratch, assuming no prior experience of submitting for sync. You will leave knowing exactly what the right first steps are so you can start building your sync strategy with confidence.

I'm an experienced musician/creator. Will I still get value from this?

+

Yes. Even experienced artists are often surprised by gaps in their pitching process, whether that is metadata they have been neglecting, PRO registrations they have not completed, or pitch email habits that are quietly working against them. Ruby's firsthand experience makes this session valuable at every level.

Your music is ready. Now learn how to get it heard.
