The world's #1 remote recording studio
Musiversal empowers music creators to make Grammy-worthy music from anywhere. Our subscription service provides a more accessible alternative to the traditional studio, through unlimited live recording sessions with auditioned, world-class musicians – all for a simple monthly fee.
Unlike typical gig models, our musicians are salaried members of our team, earning stable incomes in an industry where security is rare. This lets creators access top-tier talent affordably, while supporting musicians with sustainable careers.
Today, we're a global team of 120+ musicians, producers, and engineers serving 1,000+ members. We've delivered over 200,000 sessions so far – including Grammy-winning projects.
Our core team of ~30 works remotely across Lisbon, London, and beyond. We value autonomy, creativity, and ownership, with a flat structure where everyone leads. Joining Musiversal now means helping shape the future of remote music production at an early, high-impact stage.
Who we are looking for 🦄
We're looking for a QA Engineer to help ensure our product delivers a consistently high-quality experience for both members and musicians.
You'll play a key role in maintaining reliability, performance, and usability as we ship new experiments and features at pace. Your focus will be making sure releases are thoroughly tested, edge cases are caught early, and bugs don't make it into production – helping us maintain high standards as the product evolves.
You'll work closely with product and engineering to validate new functionality, improve testing processes, and build confidence in every deployment. You're detail-oriented and methodical. You naturally spot issues others miss and enjoy creating lightweight systems that keep things reliable without slowing the team down. If you care about clean releases, solid testing practices, and great user experiences, you'll feel at home here.
We'd love to talk to you if 🤝
- You're based in Portugal
- You have 3+ years of experience in QA Engineering
- You genuinely enjoy testing and take pride in shipping clean, reliable releases
- You're experienced with manual and automated testing, including writing clear test plans, cases, and scripts
- You've worked with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Karate, or similar
- You're comfortable testing APIs and understand backend systems
- You've integrated automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- You can defend your use of AI in your daily work and have some interesting approaches around it
- You have experience with performance and load testing
- You're familiar with BDD frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, Serenity BDD)
- You've worked in Agile environments, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and designers
- You've operated in startup or scale-up environments and are comfortable with fast iteration
- You speak excellent English
- You care about music – bonus points if you're a producer or musician yourself 🎵
Responsibilities 💪
- Own QA for new product releases across web and backend systems
- Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and regression suites
- Validate new features and requirements in close collaboration with product and engineering
- Identify, document, and track bugs, working directly with developers to resolve issues quickly
- Build and maintain automated test suites and frameworks
- Perform regression testing to ensure stability after changes
- Run performance and load tests to support scalability
- Continuously improve QA processes and workflows as the product and team grow
- Stay current with modern testing tools and best practices
