How will publishing splits work?
+We'll be using the Nashville Split System meaning everyone gets equal shares of both songwriting and master rights. It keeps things fair and simple from the start. Split sheets and a short explainer will be provided.
Who owns the master recording?
+Everyone involved in the song will share equal ownership of the master recording created during the camp.
Who handles the industry brief and submissions?
+The brief will be managed by American Songwriter through their publishing representative. You'll get full details and next steps during the workshop.
Does Musiversal keep any percentage or rights?
+No, Musiversal retains zero rights. All rights stay with the writers.
If the camp is free, who pays the musicians and singers?
+You'll get access to Musiversal's roster of 100+ professional session musicians for free as part of the Song Camp. If you're already a member, this won't affect your regular sessions.
What styles of music will we be writing, and can I choose my group?
+You'll be pre-assigned to a writing room based on the answers you give during registration, we'll do our best to match you with the right fit.
